Edward Jones Corredera

Historian. Documentarian. Consultant. Writer.

I am an Assistant Professor of History at the UNED.

I was born and raised in Madrid, studied politics at the LSE, worked as a speechwriter in the House of Lords, and worked as the editor of a startup in Shanghai.

I completed my PhD in history at the University of Cambridge and took up a postdoctoral position at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg.

I have co-edited and appeared in a number of historical documentaries for TVE2 and a series of radio shows for Radio 3.  I am a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and the Royal Society of Arts. You can read more about my books below.

I am currently working on a number of books on the history of international law, including one on pardons, amnesties, and the political history of forgiveness.

Will post more about my work on this site in the coming months - stay tuned.
